Turtle Bunny Love Design

LOVE love love this print from Turtle Bunny Love Design. Just might have to pick it up for myself one of these days. That quote speaks for days with me...everyone at my office can attest, I'm sure.

Movies I can't wait to see...

Alice in Wonderland (see more images here)

I just bought my midnight showing tickets for Harry Potter.  I've been waiting FOREVER for this.  It was supposed to come out last NOVEMBER.  But because Daniel Radcliffe decided to do that naked play in NY, Warner Bros thought it put a bad rapp on his name or something.  BTW I saw that naked play, Equus, with Daniel in London a couple years ago and it was great.  He's a pretty decent stage actor!

BurdaStyle

I got an email last night from BurdaStyle abou this lovely top pattern available for digital download ($3, I think).   They released a different version of it last week with the drawstring at the bottom of the shirt.  GROSS.  I'm sorry but that "bubble" look only flatters sticks.  This version is SO much prettier and will look good on everyone in my opinion!

I've never sewn a piece of clothing before, but maybe I'll try it out on this. Purchase the pattern here

This is cute. Ugly Betty wore it in one of the last episodes of the show this season, so naturally, I want it.

SALE. MINE? we'll see.

Vintage Jane

Have I told anyone how much I love Etsy, sometimes? Look at what I found from Vintage Jane:

This is just really weird and I can't stop looking at it. Girl heads? For pillows? Who's bright idea was that and can I meet them?

Such a pretty bedspread!

This is just plain gorgeous. GORGEOUS, I tell you.

Rain can't get ME down!

You know, just sitting in my new condo, sippin' coffee, eating cheerios and fresh blueberries, and borrowin' internet.

I moved in this weekend and I LOVE IT. I love every bit of it.

Lee and myself painted the bedroom and living room on Friday, precisely 3 hours after signing the paperwork :) It took us all afternoon and into early evening, but it looks great! A cheery pistachio ice cream green in the living room and one deep teal wall in the bedroom surrounded by crisp white walls. The bedroom looks really great with the one accent wall, plus my bedding effing rocks. Pictures soon! There are boxes and suitcases currently dominating the space.

After the move, I browsed my overloaded google reader to find a post by the lovely Keyse of Crocodile Tears. The most lovely wooden cabinet with metal screen. SWOON CITY. I picked it up yesterday to find that I've met Keyse before at the Boston Biz Ladies meet-up last summer held by design*sponge. What a coincidence. I followed that visit by one to Boomerang in Jamaica Plain. I found some cool stuff like a two tiered cake server (which I promply broke last night, but it's fixable!)

THEN I spent my life away at IKEA on who-knows-what. Seriously, I can't even remember. Hopefully it's stuff I needed.

Anyways, busy busy weekend and I can't wait to get this place all set up! I'll be doing a tour once that happens and my new couch comes in. The neighbors have informed me that all of them but one have had to have the couches delivered through the window... Mine is a short couch (76" vs 81") so hopefully they can get it through the door. If not, I'm on the first floor! Easy Peasy.

Off to "commute" to work. 1 MILE. I love my new house.

Oh Updates!

Big news everyone! I bought a condo! Moving in less than 3 weeks! Now I'm on the hunt to make the place MINE. I've already picked up a few things from various sources, but my main source is Craigslist! There's a lot of good (and a lot of junky) stuff on there and it's fun to hunt it out. I'm going for a bright colors and patterns decor with mid-century furniture.

Kitchen Chairs. Planning on recovering them in this but the vinyl is in really good condition. So we'll have to see how the rest of my kitchen makeover goes...but for $15/chair, how could I go wrong!

Danish Mid-Century Occasional Chairs. Both have cushions (I AM RECOVERING. DON'T WORRY, I HAVEN'T GONE CRAZY) and are in impeccable shape. I've been searching for this style of chair forever and can never find ones in good condition for less than $300 for ONE. Or if I do, they're on ebay and require and extra $100ish for shipping. I'm picking up these gems tomorrow for $150/pair

New couch not from Craigslist, but still...good deal, barely more than an Ikea couch and it's of a much better quality! By far my biggest purchase for the condo but I still got it at a steal (super-duper memorial day sale at Macy's) Plus it's shorter than most couches (76" vs 81") which is great because I bought a condo, not a mansion. This one is being special ordered in a gorgeously soft sea foam blue color.

What I wish I could have....but don't a way of picking it up or storing it until the move. Things like this come up often though, just hopefully I can get a price like that one!

Now, if anyone wants to chip in to the Laura is a homeowner fund...
